One White Horse Standing Newsletter

Hi Folks,

We focus on Labradorite as a stone of interest. I recently returned to using it via slabs to place under the client. The results have been very powerful, each feeling stronger and more centered.

The list of all workshops are included in this newsletter. If you are thinking of going to any of them, move quickly as the classes fill within weeks after the announcement.

Bountiful Blessings,
One White Horse Standing

(also known as Spectrolite) Power #s 6 & 7

LabradoriteThe geological type area for labradorite is Paul's Island near the town of Nain in Labrador, Canada. It has also been reported in Norway and various other locations worldwide.

Labradorite occurs in mafic igneous rocks and is the feldspar variety most common in basalt and gabbro. The uncommon anorthosite bodies are composed almost entirely of labradorite. It also is found in metamorphic amphibolites and as a detrital component of some sediments. Common mineral associates in igneous rocks include olivine, pyroxenes, amphiboles and magnetite.

Spiritual dimension

Labradorite is a feldspar that can display a spectrum of colors that seem to flame with broad patches of peacock blue, coppery red, and dusky gold. It protects ones aura, by keeping it clear, balanced, shielded, and free from energy leaks. It can assist in the alignment of the subtle bodies thereby enhancing the connection between the physical and ethereal realms.

Labradorite is an "illusion killer". It clearly shows us our goals and intentions whereupon we can see their real shape and find our selves. Emotionally, it can reveal forgotten memories and their associated deep feelings. Mentally, it supports "right-mindedness" for allowing the experience to dissolve back into their original points in time, therefore no longer haunting us in the present.

LabradoriteLike a star gate in alignment, it helps one to know what and when to facilitate beneficial transformations. It is a stone of "beingness". It supports transcending the limitations and restraints of the past and the dreaminess of the future to fully embrace the point of power in the present to create infinite possibilities. It does so by eliminating the aspects of familiarity (old perceptions and patterns) that obscures thought and blurs awareness. It assists one by attracting internal strength and perseverance. It can provide clarity to the inner awareness to eliminate old and worn-out thoughts that are more disturbing than useful.

It unites the personal self with the necessary understanding required to realize and achieve the destiny of this life. It can relieve the insecurity and apprehension of the transformative process, while enhancing faith and reliance in oneself. In time, it can lead to the absolute purity of the universal harmony.

Labradorite represents the "temple of the stars". It assists in the understanding, sustaining, and maintaining of the destiny one has chosen. It brings the light of other planetary beings to the soul of the user. The labradorescence is an extra-terrestrial luminescence of galactic evolved energies.

The darkness symbolizes the moon. Therefore, it helps one to advance, without constraint, through the cycles of progression, leading to an experience of ascension. The luminescence symbolizes the sun’s vitality and a renewed sense of self during transitions (like when you cannot find your butt with either hand) leading to a refinement of action and a clarity of direction (amidst all the frigging chaos).

Physical dimension

It has been used for the elimination of brain disorders, to stimulate mental acuity, and to reduce anxiety and stress. It has been used to clarify the eyes.

In Brief

LabradoriteLabradorite is good for balancing old and mature warriors. It makes a Warrior feel like a warrior, by being more organized, capable of being focused, productive, and maintaining concentration for long periods of time without tiring. Makes people feel energized and healed, even when over-producing and over-scheduling themselves or being caught up in the middle of total chaos. It creates a dual awareness of the chaos surrounding and the clarity of sight to move through it (the chaos).

Upcoming Workshops:

Awakening to Crystals
A Journey into Stone Energy
& Healing

March 27-29, 2015
Camp Asbury, Hiram OH

Awakening To Crystals

Focus of the Workshop

Rocks and crystals have been treasured for their beauty and healing energies since the dawn of time. In similar ways, rocks and crystals can assist in our spiritual journeys. For example, they bring forth spirit energies that provide interesting applications in the ordinary and non-ordinary realities. For some, the rock and crystal spirit energies can enhance shamanic work by adding new experiential dimensions to the ecstatic journey. For others, the rock and crystal spirit energies provide a new set of tools to be used in healing practices, such as establishing protective energy cocoons. At a minimum, as we learn to awaken the spirit energies of the rocks and crystals, parts of ourselves will begin to awaken as well.

Raven Medicine

September 11-13, 2014
Camp Asbury
Hiram, OH

Raven MedicineMagic, shape shifting, and creation are its keynotes. Its cycle of power is Winter solstice. It is the bird of birth and death, and it is a bird of mysticism and magic.

The raven represents a duality as folklore around the world depicts in terms of both light and darkness. It was considered by some to be "unclean" due to its being a scavenger. Odin, the Norse god, used them as spiritual messengers. In some areas, it was believed that the Raven foretold death, and others believed that wicked priests became Ravens.

The Raven is a member of the corvids family, crows and magpies. The only difference between a raven and a crow is size. The raven is much larger. Thus, much of what applies to the crow applies to the raven.

Separate from the crow, the raven is believed to bring forth life and order. Nothing could exist without the raven. It stole the sunlight from the one who would keep the world in darkness. It is honored in art and on totem poles, reflecting the tales and mysticism that have developed around it.

Creating the Conscious Nest

October 30-November 1, 2015
Bethel Horizons, Dodgeville, Wisconsin

Creating the Conscious NestWe will use the powerful energies of the Halloween weekend to use humor and fun to create our conscious nest. As a symbol of whom we are in body and soul, the conscious nest is the safe place we can rest our soul and give our spirit relief from day to day life.

Each of us will create a conscious nest. Using whatever materials that call to you (twigs, leaves, pipe cleaners, craft and art supplies, wooden boxes, pictures, photos, crystals, stones, soul collages, etc.) we will craft our conscious nest.

The conscious nest will be your safe haven, your safe deposit box, for memories and courage, and strength for fully being the person that you are, here, now, and every day. It will be the warm and secure place that is uniquely your personal sacred space.

Dragon Medicine Workshop

A Initiation Into a Fuller Self

Dragon Medicine is the essence
of self-transformation

December 4-6, 2015
Camp Asbury, Hiram, Ohio

Dragon Medicine

The workshop is a shamanic intensive retreat; held in a circle of sacred space where all participants share the experience of their healing journey. The class is structured around using sacred space and various exercises, prayers and journeys to explore your relationship to dragon medicine. As you connect your internal dragons will transform. They might be dragons who already assist and teach you and in that case you will deepen your relationship with them. Or they might be dragons who protect you from your inner traumas at the expense of holding parts of you hostage. Either way the dragons can reveal a path to deeper levels of your heart.
