Workshops generally fall into two groups: Stones & Crystal Workshops and Shamanic Workshops. Most of the workshops are designed for two days. Basic workshops generally are Friday and Saturday with no evening sessions. Typically, the advanced and deepening workshops start on Friday evening (7:00 to 9:00 P.M.), continue on Saturday (9:00 AM to 6:00 PM with an evening session as optional), and finish on Sunday (9:00 AM to 3:00 PM). The immersion/transformative shamanic practices workshop is recommended for three days, with a noon start time on Friday.
Shamanic Practices Workshops
Shamanic practices workshops focus on the ancient spiritual traditions. These traditions rely on a world view that the spirit world is as real as the physical world. Furthermore, these traditions involve communicating with the spirit world.
Shamanic Practices Basic Workshop
Deepening Shamanic Workshop
This workshop is designed to deepen the shamanic relationship with rocks and crystals. A large altar/vortex of energy will be created in the center of the working space. The purpose of this altar is to expand the energy field and therefore the sensitivity and receptivity to healing energies. Typically, the people will journey ten to twelve times over the course of the workshop. It is quite common for all participants to experience some form of major insight and/or healing. Generally, this workshop includes a session on Friday or Saturday evening.
Immersion and Transformative Shamanic Workshop
The Immersion/transformative workshop typically is a residential retreat. It is preferred that it be held in a rural setting with heavy forests surrounding the site. It is helpful if the site has cooking accommodations and sleeping facilities. Camping is an acceptable alternative. However, the site requires a large building or structure such as a Yurt that can comfortably house the workshop. Generally, this means that all participates will not be overly burdened with weather changed and that there is adequate space for all participants to create a sacred space for themselves to journey.
The people tend to be experienced shamanic practitioners. The focus of the workshop is total immersion into the spiritual world for three days. A large altar/vortex is created with large rocks and crystals. This creates a massive energetic field. Within this field, the people are able to find the safety necessary for the soul or inner parts of the self to come to the surface to heal and be healed. Typically, this workshop starts at noon on Friday and runs late into the night. Saturday begin between 9:00 and 10:00 AM with informal teaching around the fire from 7:00 AM until start-up at 9:00 or 10:00 AM.
Medicine Wheel Workshop –
Native Americans refer to the medicine as the essence of a person, place or thing. The Medicine Wheel has been used for thousands of years to provide insight into the human condition. We will explore the cycles of life and the stages of change with a view toward living a more centered and balanced life. The purpose of Medicine Wheel Initiation is to create mature men and women who can stay within the center of who they are regardless of circumstances.
Immersion and Transformative Workshop
Rocks and crystals have been treasured for their beauty and healing energies since the dawn of time. For example, spiritual and healing ceremonies incorporating rocks, often in the form of gemstones, and crystals were performed by Mayan, Native American Indians, Aztec, Inca, African, Tibetan, and Celtic Cultures. In more recent times, the Bible refers to quartz crystals more than 200 times as well as a multitude of other rocks in the form of gemstones and crystals.
In similar ways, rocks and crystals can assist in our spiritual journeys. For example, they bring forth spirit energies that provide valuable applications in ordinary and non-ordinary realities. For some, the rock and crystal spirit energies can enhance shamanic work by adding new experiential dimensions to the ecstatic journey. For others, the rock and crystal spirit energies provide a new set of tools to be used in healing practices, such as establishing protective energy cocoons. At a minimum, as we learn to awaken the spirit energies of the rocks and crystals, parts of ourselves will begin to awaken as well.
Contrary to popular belief, conflict is natural, normal, and inevitable. In its simplest form, conflict is two opposing ideas attempting to occupy the same space. It results from the experience of human differences within and between ourselves and others. Within individuals, it surfaces as conflicts between right and wrong. Between individuals and within groups, conflict can develop over differences of opinion, especially when opinions are assumed to be facts. Within organizations, conflict can surface between competing individuals, departments, and divisions. Between nations, it can surface as moral collisions based on cultural and religious differences.
Bear Medicine Initiation
Indigenous cultures refer to medicine as the essence of the person, place or thing. In our terms it is the essence of being a spiritual, physical, mental and emotional being. Bear medicine is about going into the inner sanctum of one self to find the wisdom of who you are. It involves going into hibernation, often called a little death, where one becomes still in the silence of oneself to more fully birth who you are. It involves surrendering to the primal instincts that know the thoughts that have yet to be known. Bear medicine can teach you to go deep within so that you can make choices and decisions from a position of internal authority. Bear medicine awakens the inner wisdom of the soul, and by bringing it out into the open and applying it, the depth and breadth of life can be known.
The Bear Medicine program is an initiation—a birthing process to more fully be who you are. The focus is to discover the innate healing presence within your self that have not been allowed to be seen or heard. We will nurture those parts so as to begin to create a more centered and balanced life. Our intent is to create the sacred space that will enable you to fully birth who you are, shedding the parts that no longer serve the fullness of your presence. Each person will be given the opportunity to be initiated into the bear medicine.
Questing for a Vision
Vision questing was originally known as crying or lamenting for a vision. It involved going into seclusion on a mountain or sacred site without food or water or clothes. Stripped to the nakedness of oneself, the individual sat in total humility waiting for a vision of how the world is different because the individual exists. Questing for a Vision workshop is about learning to listen to who we are more fully as a person.
We will do 10-15 journeys over the course of the weekend. The focus will be to deepen the awareness of one’s internal vision of how to more fully be in the world. The focus of the workshop is immersion into the spiritual world for two and one-half days. A large altar/vortex is created with large rocks and crystals. This creates a massive energetic field. Within this field, the people are able to find the safety necessary for the soul or inner parts of the self to come to the surface to heal and be healed. It is common for people to have life-changing healing experiences.
Wolf Medicine Workshop
Indigenous cultures refer to medicine as the essence of the person, place or thing. In our terms it is the essence of being a spiritual, physical, mental and emotional being. Wolf medicine is about the essence of wolf spirit. Wolves are very ritualistic—in as many ways as humans. They live by carefully defined rules. There are specific territories that are sacred. Their social behavior is based upon a hierarchical structure. Each has its place and function within it.
The wolf teaches you to know who you are and to develop strength, confidence, and surety so that you do not have to demonstrate and prove yourself to all. Wolves have a complex communication system, using body language. If you have difficulty conveying your moods and ideas to others, wolf will teach you how to empower your verbal communications with appropriate body language.
Emerging From the Wheel
The Medicine Wheel has been used for thousands of years to provide insight into the human condition. It has been used in one form or another in nearly all original tribes from native American Indians to many African tribes to Tibetan Bon Po to Australian Aborigines.
Rocks and crystals have been treasured for their beauty and healing energies since the dawn of time. Spiritual and healing ceremonies incorporating rocks, often in the form of gemstones, and crystals were performed by Mayan, Native American Indians, Aztec, Inca, African, Tibetan, and Celtic Cultures. Emergence of the Soul
In the silence of who we are, we discover a part of our self that is sacred. This part of our self does not come to the surface through determination or brute force or sheer will power. Rather it emerges from within the sacredness of who we are when sacred space is opened and safely held. When we touch our own sacredness, we touch our soul.
The Emergence workshop will do 10-15 journeys over the course of the weekend. The focus of the workshop is total immersion into the spiritual world for three days so that the emergence of one’s soul can surface through a memory, an insight, or a deep awareness. A large altar/vortex is created with large rocks and crystals. This creates a massive energetic field. Within this field, the people are able to find the safety necessary for the soul or inner parts of the self to come to the surface to heal and be healed. It is common for people to have transformational healing experiences.
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxEagle: Illumination of Spirit
To align with eagle medicine is to take responsibility and assume the power of becoming so much more than you now appear to be. From a karmic perspective, it reflects that the events will now fly faster, and the repercussions for everything you think, do or say (or fail to think, do, or say) will be both stronger and quicker. To accept the eagle as a totem is to accept a powerful new dimension to life, and a heightened responsibility for your spiritual growth. But, only through doing so do you learn how to move between worlds, to touch all life with healing, and become the mediator and the bearer of new creative force within the world.
The vulture represents Purification, Death & Rebirth, New Vision. It is the is the most misunderstood and misaligned bird. People see them as gross and associate them with death, but myths reflects just the opposite. In Greek tradition, it was associated with heaven and earth, spirit and matter, good and evil, guardian and avenger. It was considered the avenger of the nature spirits.
The raven represents a duality as folklore around the world depicts in terms of both light and darkness. It was considered by some to be "unclean" due to its being a scavenger. Odin, the Norse god, used them as spiritual messengers. In some areas, it was believed that the Raven foretold death, and others believed that wicked priests became Ravens.
The Crystal Integration workshop will focus on crystals and integration at the soul, individual and community levels. In some of the work, we will focus on the light body that is activated minerals (quartz) within the body. Some think that the activation of this light body is what regenerates our life force. Others believe that it is simply an illumination of the spirit. Regardless of your beliefs, we are going to explore this illumination through the creation of a massive sacred space.
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxAwakening to Rocks and Crystals:
A Journey into Stone Energy & Healing
These workshops are very specifically related to learning the healing properties of rocks and crystals, which then can be used for personal work and/or for use with clients. These are referred to as rock energy workshops as the focus is on the healing energies of rocks and crystals.
Basic Crystals Workshop
The first workshop is a basic workshop where numerous stones are introduced, then experienced by the participants. The focus is to awaken the primal awareness that knows how to relate to the energies of the stones. Besides hands-on experience, one or two shamanic journeys will be done as a means to learn to relate to the spirit/energies of the stones.
Advanced Crystals Workshop
The second workshop is a practical application workshop, where the focus is to deepen the experiential relationship with rocks and crystals. The participants will continue to personal experience the energies of the stones and then apply this knowledge to creating lay-outs for self and others. Because the rocks and crystals and techniques change for each workshop, this workshop can be repeated several times with minimal duplication.
The workshop is a shamanic intensive retreat; held in a circle of sacred space where all participants share the experience of their healing journey. The class is structured around using sacred space and various exercises, prayers and journeys to explore your relationship to dragon medicine. As you connect your internal dragons will transform. They might be dragons who already assist and teach you and in that case you will deepen your relationship with them. Or they might be dragons who protect you from your inner traumas at the expense of holding parts of you hostage. Either way the dragons can reveal a path to deeper levels of your heart.
Indigenous cultures refer to medicine as the essence of the person, place or thing. In our terms it is the essence of being a spiritual, physical, mental and emotional being. Cougar or Panther medicine is about the essence of the deep knowing spirit The cougar/panther is the second largest cat in the western hemisphere. It is also one of the fastest and most powerful animals, but it tires quickly. It is powerful enough to kill with its bite or its claws. It can leap over 40 feet.
Variations of all workshops can be developed depending on your needs. Please contact me to discuss any unique requirements that you may have. The only workshop that has less flexibility in terms of space and design is the Immersion Workshop. To create the designed experience, a rustic sight in nature is needed.
