One White Horse Standing Newsletter

APRIL 2012

Hi folks,

The fall schedule is set. I will be doing Bear Medicine in September, the Four Chambered Heart in October, and a Crystal Immersion workshop in December. Please review the details below and sign-up sooner than later. Recently, the workshops have closed out early with a waiting list. For example, Bear Medicine sold-out in the two days that this letter was being rewritten to correct some confusing and inaccurate information.

I have been providing hematite at all recent workshops as we are entering into or are fully immersed in the integrative phase following the 2007-2011 window of transformation. Many have noted a sense of internal shifts occurring, like they are reforming internally. I have felt the same stirrings and have noticed that my presence at workshops and how I am presenting has changed. Hematite supports our staying present, in our bodies, to fully embody the changes and therefore to more fully integrate our self. I encourage use of hematite anklets, bracelets, etc.

Bountiful Blessings,
One White Horse Standing

Hematite

Signs: Aries and Scorpio Power #9.

HematiteA "stone for the mind". It helps one to sort out things in one's mind and can be used for mental attunement, memory enhancement, original thinking, and technical knowledge. It assists one in mathematical pursuits and in the development of both mental and manual dexterity.

It provides for a calming atmosphere while reaching for the Sun. It helps one to realize that the only limitations which exist are those self-limiting concepts of the mind. It is capable of helping the body to remain cool or of dispelling heat at the physical level; one could use it on the forehead to draw out the heat from a fever or as an elixir.

It facilitates balancing of the yin-yang energies, utilizing the magnetic qualities of the energy to balance the meridians within the body and to provide stable equilibrium between the ethereal nervous system and the physical nervous system. It assists in the focusing of energy and emotions for balance between body, mind, and spirit.

It assists in the dissolution of negativity, transforming the negativity, in the dissolved state, to the purity of the universal light of love. It can be used to stimulate the desire for and to facilitate the attainment of, peace, self-control, and inner happiness. It is conducive to enabling one to enter into a loving relationship. It has been said to attract "kind" love. It helps one to attain a soft meditative state, providing for smooth grounding and bringing tranquility and emotional clarity.

Hematite BearIt can be used in the treatment of leg cramps, blood disorders, nervous disorders, and insomnia. It can be used to assist in spinal alignment and in the proper healing of breaks and fractures. Placing a piece of hematite on the base of the spine, on the area of misalignment, and the top of the spine has provided adjustment to the vertebrae.

Michael's Gemstone Dictionary: An aid to re-evaluation. Promotes awareness of personal issues and patterns. Enables one to pull up anything that needs to be looked over to make it really clear what is the issue. Also useful for focusing on past lives. It enables one to positively use the Goal of Re-evaluation. Particularly good for Priests who tend to forge ahead and re-evaluate life infrequently and those in Passion Mode who tend to enthusiastically skip past things they need to learn.

Cougar MedicineBear Medicine Initiation

Sept 14-16, 2012
Camp Asbury, Hiram, Ohio

SOLD OUT

Indigenous cultures refer to medicine as the essence of the person, place or thing. In our terms it is the essence of being a spiritual, physical, mental and emotional being. Bear medicine is about going into the inner sanctum of one self to find the wisdom of who you are. It involves going into hibernation, often called a little death, where one becomes still in the silence of oneself to more fully birth who you are. It involves surrendering to the primal instincts that know the thoughts that have yet to be known. Bear medicine can teach you to go deep within so that you can make choices and decisions from a position of internal authority. Bear medicine awakens the inner wisdom of the soul, and by bringing it out into the open and applying it, the depth and breadth of life can be known.

The Four Chambered Heart

A Journey into Wholeness
October 19-21, 2012

The four chambered heart consists of being fully centered (in our heart) and actively maintaining a strong, clear, open, and full heart. The strong heart means that we have true courage that is based on our internal authority of whom we are. We are able to show up and be present without preconceived notions, while having the Ability to Take Action and Enforce Boundaries. The clear heart means that we have removed our personal biases and blinders and developed a clarity about self so that we can see clearly whom we are by having respect for self and for others without confusing external temptations that can lead down the destructive path of envy or entitlement. With a clear heart, we are able to assess, analyze and contain, while saying what is so when it is so, without blame or judgment. The open heart is a heart that can love itself, having been nurtured by self, family, nature, and life. It does not measure against a bucket emptied by draining one’s source of life by not accepting the innate sense of being loved regardless of circumstances. With a open heart, we have the Ability to Connect and Feel, while paying attention to what has heart and meaning. The full heart means that we can embrace all of life with a sense of wisdom and generosity. It is an awareness that there are as many stories of what is life as there are people; hence, though we can influence others, we must always be open to them and their evolving story. With a full heart, we have the Ability to Initiate, Support and Create Order while being open to outcome.

Wholeness

In the silence of who we are, we discover a part of our self that is sacred. This part of our self does not come to the surface through determination or brute force or sheer will power. Rather it emerges from within the sacredness of who we are when sacred space is opened and safely held. When we touch our own sacredness, we touch our soul.

To find this part of our selves, we need to re-member who we are by traveling through the four chambers of our heart.

What to expect: The workshop will do several shamanic journeys over the course of the weekend. The focus of the workshop is total immersion into the spiritual world for two days so that the emergence of one’s soul can surface through a memory, an insight, or a deep awareness. Within this field, the people are able to find the safety necessary for the soul or inner parts of the self to come to the surface to heal and be healed. It is common for people to have transformational healing experiences.

Crystal Integration

November 30 - December 2, 2012

Crystal IntegrationThe Crystal Integration workshop will focus on crystals and integration at the soul, individual and community levels. In some of the work, we will focus on the light body that is activated minerals (quartz) within the body. Some think that the activation of this light body is what regenerates our life force. Others believe that it is simply an illumination of the spirit. Regardless of your beliefs, we are going to explore this illumination through the creation of a massive sacred space.

Sacred Space

The sacred space will be anchored by an altar of 800-1000 pounds of rocks and crystals. In addition, each person is asked to bring eight (8) pieces of granite that will be used to create individual and intertwining sacred circles. The combination will be to create a massive healing energy to anchor the weekend.

Integration

Integration is the process by which we begin to support the chaos around and within us to form a new order. For some, this will be to complete the parallel (or past, if you are linear) life lessons and unfinished business, and/or to heal bleed-through. For others, it will be a return to the center, where the wisdom of internal authority will be rekindled to provide a guiding light for each person.

Bring Your Stones Including 8 Pieces of Granite

Each person is encouraged to bring whatever stones or crystals feel appropriate or necessary to support his or her process. In addition, several stones will be provided for use during workshop. Some of the crystals will be gifted to you. Bring eight (8) pieces of granite that will be used to create individual and intertwining sacred circles.

Limited to 26

We have limited the number of attendees to 26. First come, first served.

The workshop is residential and will be held at beautiful Camp Asbury in Hiram, Ohio. You will recieve detailed instructions with your registration. We will begin class at 9 am on each day and end at 3 pm on Sunday afternoon.

Buffalo Medicine

Early 2013 - Dates to be Announced,
Camp Asbury, Hiram Ohio

The Buffalo Medicine workshop is an initiation – a birthing process to more fully be who you are in the world. The focus is to discover the inner wisdom of your soul that knows how to combine right action with right prayer. Buffalo Medicine leads us to discover our ability to initiate , support and create order, while being open to outcome.

Buffalo medicine is about the essence of buffalo spirit. Buffalo is a symbol of abundance and manifestation through co creation with Spirit. Part of what White Buffalo Woman taught the Lakota is that they did not have to struggle to survive. By uniting the mundane and the divine appropriately, all that would be needed would be available. In this way we don't have to “bull” our way through life. The path opens and flows easily. Buffalo are also in tune with the seasons and the timing of Nature. This doesn't mean we should sit back and do nothing, but rather that we should do what we have to do and then let events take their natural course. Buffalo medicine is also about give away and gratitude for what you already have. The quickest way to stop the flow of abundance is by failing to honor that which has already come to you.
